God sees your tears. He knows what you are going through and cares deeply for you. Every tear you shed is recorded and carefully kept, with the love and care of the Heavenly Father. God has not abandoned you.
Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll - are they not in your record?
– Psalm 56:8
If God records your tears, it’s because they are important to Him. God has a plan for your life, and sadness will not last forever. In this moment, you may not see the plan, but know that God is in control. If you love Him, God will take care of your life.
Times of sadness can be a great challenge to your faith. But you are not fighting alone! God is with you, and He will not abandon you in your struggles. Even when you don’t feel it, God is taking care of you.
Feelings can be deceptive. Just because you feel like there is no solution and that God doesn’t care, it doesn’t mean that is the truth. That is your heart lying to you! Choose to listen to what God says:
Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
- John 16:20
The sorrow will come to an end! It may not happen in this exact moment, but God will restore your joy because He loves you. Have hope: every trial has a beginning, a middle, and an end. The pain will pass! The joy of the Lord will rise with the morning:
Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
- Psalm 30:5b
Trust in God’s Word. In this life, you will experience times of sorrow, but they are temporary. Sorrow will not dominate your entire life. God’s joy is stronger and will restore you. Believe, one day, sorrow will end forever!
In Jesus, you always have hope, even in the deepest sadness.
