Today's Word
Armed with trumpets and jars
When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’
- Judges 7:18
Sometimes God’s calling comes with rather unusual instructions. That’s what happened with Gideon. God chose him to lead the people to victory against the Midianites, but the method to be used—trumpets and jars—was not a “conventionally warlike” method. However, Gideon obeyed God’s instructions, and in the end, he was victorious.
Therefore, if God has called you to do something for His glory, but you cannot understand the logic of His instructions, trust and obey! The way the Lord works is always the best—He knows the end from the beginning. Obey what He tells you, trust, act in His name, and you will achieve victory for the glory of God.
13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. 15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
- Deuteronomy 11:13–15

Jesus Overcame Death
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
- Matthew 28:5-6
As we remember the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, we must keep in mind that He rose again. Jesus defeated death and is alive! On the cross, Jesus bore the punishment that we all deserved for our sins. He suffered greatly for you and for me, but His love was greater than the fear of pain and humiliation.
However, Jesus did not remain dead: He rose again! Through His resurrection, He conquered death. All of us who receive Him as Lord and Savior and live in obedience to His commandments will be with Him for all eternity.
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
- John 11:25-26
Proclaim today the true life that is in Christ Jesus. He overcame physical death, and with Him we have the hope of eternal life. Yet there are many who have not heard about God’s great love for them, nor do they know that in Him they can have abundant and eternal life. Decide today to proclaim the victory of Jesus over death.

Be Wise in the Use of Your Time
How many times a week do you say: “I can’t, I don’t have time”? Today we live at an exhausting pace, and yes, sometimes it feels like we don’t have time to do everything we have to do. That’s why we need great wisdom to use our time in a way that honors God.
Ask God to help you use your time wisely today and always. Learn to value what is important to Him. Also, learn to say NO when you sense that God is not pleased with you doing something. Fill yourself more and more with the Lord each day, seek His face with all your heart, and pray for Christ to help you discern how to make good use of your time.
In Psalm 90 we find the following words:
Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.- Psalm 90:12
Try making a list of the activities where you spend most of your time. Then consider whether these activities draw you closer to God and His purpose for your life. Pray to the Lord, asking Him to give you wisdom to know how to glorify Him with your use of time.
You will see that God will guide you and show you the adjustments you need to make in your daily activities. Obey the Lord, and your paths will be made straight.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.- Proverbs 3:5-6
May God guide you today so that you may use your time wisely!
