Where to seek advice

I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
- Romans 15:14

Paul shows us the importance of the Christian community and its great power to counsel one another. The apostle is confident that the brothers and sisters possess enough wisdom to advise each other so that they may live a good life before God.

The ability to counsel someone lies in the level of maturity one has, and to find that in people it is necessary to look for the expression of goodness and knowledge of the Scriptures.

Know where to seek your advice in times of need! Flee from those who are full of evil and know nothing about what is right. Instead, surround yourself with people who are full of goodness and fully instructed in the faith in Christ Jesus, for these are truly wise people.

Seek instruction for eternal life in the Word, and become able yourself to give good advice to those around you. Recognize the need to be around people who can guide you in the best path, and the importance of sharing your experiences with wiser people. In this way, we can be instruments of God!

Do you want to receive the best from God today?

In life, we need to be able to identify our weaknesses and struggles. But that is not enough. We must ask God to transform us and help us fight against our flaws and the situations that harm us.

When we identify our weak points and challenges, it is a call to humility and to dependence on God so He can empower us to face those adversities. In our weaknesses, we find the opportunity to strengthen our faith and trust in God.

Asking God to transform us is an act of surrender. It is recognizing that, on our own, we are incapable of overcoming our flaws and challenges. The psalmist reminds us: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). This confidence in God as our shepherd and guide gives us the courage to face the unknown.

Our faith teaches us that spiritual growth is a continuous process. The apostle Paul, in his letters, often describes the inner struggle between the desire to do what is right and the temptation of sin. He concludes: “Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 7:25). In Christ, we find redemption and the strength to fight against our flaws and overcome the situations that harm us.

It is in prayer and in reading the Scriptures that we find the Lord’s guidance. God gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us to live according to His purposes. When we trust in His grace and mercy, we are enabled to grow spiritually, overcome challenges, and experience the transformation He desires for our lives.

Therefore, identifying our weaknesses and asking God for transformation are crucial steps for us to grow in our faith and live according to God’s principles.

Confess and receive

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- 1 John 1:9

That’s right. It may seem too good to be true, but you can believe it. No matter what you’ve done, God longs for you to return to Him!

You only need to do one thing: confess. If you confess your sins to God with a repentant heart, He will forgive you. He will completely cleanse you.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- Colossians 1:13–14

Thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we can receive the forgiveness of our sins and eternal salvation. We don’t deserve it, but God, in His infinite goodness, decided to give us the opportunity to live with Him forever.

Do you remember the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32)? Do you remember how the father longed for his son’s return? In the same way, God is waiting for you to come to Him. Don’t wait any longer! Confess everything to God and receive His embrace. He is waiting for you!

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
- Revelation 3:20
