Today's Word

Are You Free in Jesus?

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
- Galatians 5:1

What does it mean to have freedom? The world tells us that it means doing whatever we want without any restrictions. You're free to make choices, even when they're wrong. But whoever chooses to sin is not truly free, they are a slave to sin. And the slavery of sin leads to spiritual death.

Freedom is more than just making choices. It means not living under constant oppression. The true freedom that comes from Jesus allows us to choose what is right and sets us free from the oppression of sin. In Jesus, you are free to say “no” to the slavery of sin and, with Him, live a life that pleases God.

When Christ sets us free, we experience an unmatched peace and genuine joy, because He frees us from the chains of sin, the fear of death, resentment, guilt, and so many other things that once held us captive.

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
- Romans 6:6

Are you free in Jesus? If you haven’t yet experienced true freedom in Christ, call out to Him in prayer right now. Pray that He will bring His freedom into your heart and help you live the abundant life He has prepared for you. Don’t wait any longer to start enjoying freedom in Christ.

Yesterday's Word

Make things right with God today

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
- Matthew 24:36–39

Would you be prepared to meet God face to face tomorrow? The Bible says that if you repent of your sins and dedicate your life to following Jesus, you will have no reason to be afraid. When the time of reckoning comes, all of us who believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior and remain faithful will be presented as purified by Him. That is why it is important for you to set your life right with God today, while there is still time.

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
- Romans 10:8–10

Day Before Yesterday's Word

Enjoy today

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might
- Ecclesiastes 9:10a

Each new day gives us a fresh opportunity to use the gifts and strengths that God has given us. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but we do have the precious gift of today. What will we do with it?

If you woke up today healthy and strong, thank God and ask Him how you can impact and bless the people around you in His name. There are so many around us, family, friends, neighbors, fellow citizens. Be encouraged today to use your gifts to help and bless them.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Colossians 3:17

Sometimes the simplest things can have the greatest impact on someone’s life. Write or speak a word of encouragement to a friend who is going through a hard time. Prepare an extra portion of food and surprise someone with an invitation. Visit someone who is sick or elderly and far from family. Take any opportunity that arises today to bring the love and presence of Christ to others.

Enjoy this day in which you have strength and health. Serve God and serve others.
